Some time back, we had a contest about giving personality to inanimate objects. We'll be doing the opposite in this contest. Your goal is to take a shot of a person or animal and make it appear inanimate. It might be posing still or placed in a doll house, as long as the person/animal appears to be inanimate. Good luck !
PS: Sleeping people/animals are off theme.
UncleJimmy: Maybe I'm a bit slow...but I'm not really getting what this is asking for???? ( 5 years and 3578 days ago )
Lamantine: james , you have to take a shot of a living being (not a plant) which appears to be immobile (inanimated) ( 5 years and 3578 days ago )
adeincyprus: well basically, the way I see it, if it lives, and it ain't movin...........shoot it!!! ( 5 years and 3578 days ago )
UncleJimmy: Like I said...was having a "Slow" moment (yes, happens a lot in my advancing age)...Thanks guys for the advice... ( 5 years and 3577 days ago )
madelinerayne: everyone has their moments...as did i with this contest, but now it makes sense ( 5 years and 3576 days ago )
cocor: In my opinion there are two misleading elements in this contest. First: how can persons and animals be compared? Second: "a living being which appears to be inanimated". I must have missed something. Is there anything like an animated shot? ( 5 years and 3576 days ago )
kyricom: Sure, you can have shots that appear animated - ones that show or imply motion. Shots that imply being inanimate would be ones that seem "statue-like." I think a lot of these entries. of just something that happens to be sitting still for the moment, technically meet the theme, but are not the best entries. ( 5 years and 3576 days ago )
Lamantine: the best ones would be shots of humans/animals with NO facial expression at all and which are immobile without doing any activity ( 5 years and 3575 days ago )
captgeo: wouldnt any picture of anyone without any "movement blur" seem eligible? ( 5 years and 3575 days ago )
Lamantine: not really captgeo , the less facial expression, the better it is ( 5 years and 3573 days ago )
captgeo: okay... but still..... no movement and "less facial expression" qualifies? Seems like it by the entries. ( 5 years and 3573 days ago )
k5683: seems there are a lot of entries that look like they're doing something~ opposite of inanimation ( 5 years and 3572 days ago )
