I rotated 8 degrees, counterclockwise, cropped and made into grayscale to distinguish the manhole as my primary focus. Now is that a hole, or what? (5 years and 3475 days ago)
I think it's safe to say we've probably all dealt with one, sooner or later. (usually in the version of a flat tire) I just desaturated and cropped to put more focus on the hole. (5 years and 3475 days ago)
Sounds like you added focus to the hole only, not allowed, Selective editing is against the rules.Any editing you do have to be applied to the whole picture.

Actually, all I did was crop it and using the macro setting focused on the hole. I was trying to defocus the background. Except for desaturation and crop, no post editing has been done.
Thanks for your explanation, I misunderstood your original comment.

It's all good. You can actually manipulate the defocus by focusing something close up and then setting to manual focus and it will stick. Useful little trick using a professional camera, especially for setting a rule of thirds.

This is a paper pattern used in old industrial looms. The fabrics design is represented by thousands of holes of different size. I was given a piece of a model no more in use and I used it to make an abat-jour. (5 years and 3479 days ago)
Nice job Author, you are definitely getting better. I like both the concept and the execution here.
