Oh wow, I have no idea on this one.

I would suggest a better layout. It just looks kind of sloppy layered over like this and I'd just loose the numbers. If you put them in order from left to right it would be fine. I'll hold my vote.

visual relationships are very individual. a crayon that is black to some might be more confusing not less. but if you had gotten the rest the last shot would have just fallen into place. i can honestly see what you are implying, but i also disagree, the shot i have could be nothing but black, while a crayon could have been many things. with your ability and creativity i am sure you have in mind a wonderful shot. but this is what i came up with and i kinda like it... if viewed in high res it has some lovely texture and subtle lighting. but i am sure you looked at the hi-res before deciding on the crayon as the better choice. i admire your talent and your entries are wonderful, i am very sure i could learn from your IMO's, alas, i am new to this and really did appreciate the subtlety of the texture and bits of light, while being nothing but black.

I think jawshoewhah does have some fantastic entries and I always respect his opinion, however in this case Author I completely agree with you and think your comment was very well considered. GL
