Unfortunately this shot was taken with a cellphone camera long before this contest and at the time I was more amazed by how cold it was and how the grass was frosted than by focusing on the frost like i would have done if I had a real camera with me. I know its not a great shot but I still like the effect and thought I should enter it.

The wooden pole is "dead center".
Placing the subject in the dead center lacks dimension.
Maybe the pole could start from the left or right corner of your frame (diagonal) & make this a little more interesting.
Just an idea!

I agree with karaflazz. bring a little oddity to the picture to give it an edge
