Three quarters of the Earth is covered with water. We've explored more of space than we have the bottom of our own oceans.
Take a photo of any subject, but it must be taken from underwater. All scuba diving photos are welcome but get imaginative; self portraits, bubbles, different liquids.

04mehul: Aquarium photography is allow or not..? ( 5 years and 3476 days ago )
Contest Moderator: only if you are in it!!.the shot must be taken from under the water, not through glass at aquariums, or fish tanks! ( 5 years and 3475 days ago )
magicsteve: I predict a very low number of submissions for this one, seeing as how I doubt a lot of people have waterproof enclosures for their cameras. Still, what entries we do get should be VERY interesting! ( 5 years and 3475 days ago )
adeincyprus: we did have a similar contest before the crash on the other site......with a reasonable amount of entries, so maybe we will see the same here ( 5 years and 3474 days ago )
maclu2iaf: i think we should allow aquarium photography, some people are afraid to swim or dive.. ( 5 years and 3474 days ago )
adeincyprus: then they won't enter this contest........we cannot all enter all the contests, it happens like that........! ( 5 years and 3473 days ago )
Barracuda: where did the octopus go? that wasn't an aquarium shot was it? ( 5 years and 3473 days ago )
arbroono: I dont have waterproof camera, I am so sad that I won't be able to participate in this contest.. ( 5 years and 3471 days ago )

nice capture, where did you shoot this, and what with......

I took this at the Great Barrier Reef, I don't remember the camera because I rented it from the boat. It was a mid range, mid size camera in a waterproof case which I later lost until someone found it on a subsequent dive 2 days later. I was very relieved to not have to pay for it all.
Its a waterproof point and shoot inside a waterproof casing, remember it was in Australia so that maybe the Australian version of a US model. Some reason camera manufacturers in all there wisdom decide to name cameras different in different countries.
Very cool shot! Might crop some off the top and bottom, though. (how do you lose a camera while diving?)

I lost my camera because the buttons got jammed on the waterproof case so I put it in a pocket. But it must have slipped out when I was climbing out the water. I was amazing that we found it again.
Taken when camping on a desert island in Australia. I went for a swim to cool off and decided to put my camera in a plastic bag and have a play. No need for an expensive enclosure. (5 years and 3474 days ago)
