The circle has been known since before the beginning of recorded history. It is the basis of the wheel which, with related inventions such as gears, makes much of modern civilization possible. In mathematics, the study of the circle has helped inspire the development of geometry and calculus.
Your goal in this contest is to creatively capture one or more circular shapes and/or circles. They are all around us, one example would be your camera lens. Please make sure that the circle is the major focal point of the picture, not one that we have to look for. Good luck everyone!

jawshoewhah: I am assuming Ovals are off theme? Looking for perfect Circles? Please clarify ( 5 years and 3448 days ago )
EmiK: I'd say yes, circles, but if they have a little chip in it, that's no big deal, just that they are indeed circles. ( 5 years and 3448 days ago )

Is that a golf ball?
Nope!
It's a planet!
But of course, how silly of me
Well it's an excellent shot of a "planet", but I would try to fix the lens flare above the "star"
I think the lens flare add to the photo that why i left this "small detail" as it is.
Well in that case I'll just stick with the first part of my last comment and say it's an excellent shot then
very imaginitive and wwll exectued.
thinking outside of the box.........nicely executed author.....
great shot.
The planet is a hand hammered old pot & the distant star a blue led flashlight.
So no...it's not a golf ball
very nice, creative and well executed...
It's very cool!
Ummm...How did you do that???
