Enter a photo of something that makes people just want to say "What the hell am I looking at?!" In other words, photograph a subject that confuses people as to what it is. This could be virtually anything, from an odd angle of a statue to a macro of trash in a dumpster. Please try and keep it as artistic and pleasing to the eye as possible.

Howdie stranger! If you want to participate in this contest, just:
It's an amazing macro, I only wish it was a little lighter so I can see more details. But when we have a macro contest, I predict your picture will be in the top 3 for sure =)

Thanks, but when we do, I won't be able to use it again, perhaps I should have saved it.
Whatever it is, it's scary indeed! Congrats for your first place!

I guess this is some kind of design or something on a wall and that extra light source is on the floor facing upwards..?
author says:
Quite close iquraishi.
The light sources are 2 & their not facing upwards but sideways.
I used flash & a reflector to fill the "curves" from both sides!

I thought as much it would be you.. Good WTH entry and GL!
It's a piece of a paper with a single red wine drop on it...
Rotated 180 degrees.
Lighted with a external flash & a flash light.
The black piece on the background is a black piece of paper.
Thank you all for your comments & votes.
Much appreciated!!!
It looks rubbery and soft. Part of clothing or a floor mat is my guess. It does look like something that belongs on the ground. Great Job!

I was just going to give you guys a hint, but we've got a winner. Aritist3001 got this right. It is rubbery and soft and is on the ground. It's safety padding for a playground. Great eye Artist =)

Holy cow author!!! What lens did you use to get this?!? Great macro...
I used a 90mm macro lens (Tamron) with an extension tube.
An alien!... that's thirsty...
