oh boy.... put on the spot huh? Okay... as for the picture I have a love of HDR photos and I like this one. Now for the question about being on theme.... This is hard to say. It doesn't appear to me that they are "responding" to a scene...at least not in an emergency way (no lights or bunker gear) so is this a picture of "heroes in action"? Not really and if you were to ask the crew if they were heroes they would most likely say no. (My crew and I would deny it).... but... if you were to ask most of the crowd behind the rig if the crew in the truck were heroes...... i bet the majority would say yes. So the question is should it stay? I think it should stay....but it is still questionable. I am seriously questioning my own entries now too.

I'm still trying to figure out which fireman entries are yours and not someone else's.

That's because we're both firemen I guess...(little know fact about me, I volunteer with a local company, was a paid pro for many years in teh service). As far as emergency responding, it was at a race-track to a medical emergeny and no need for lights through the back-side of the track I suppose...turned out to be heatstroke...

@ Captgeo...thanks for the "stay" vote and I guess you have a bit of the feeling that the Mods sometimes do in determining an entry on theme or not...sometimes it isn't easy...thanx

No problem.... and I can agree with your explanation of the responding to the scene. Makes sense. No lights needed for a BLS call.

thanx Capt G!........as you see, the mod job is not always easy, and the red flags are not always right!! and on top of that, each and everyone of us has a different perception of things.
