Take a shot of an adult man on a motorcycle. It can be as sexy, funny or as serious as you want. Since it is getting cold in many areas, this can be staged. More than 1 person are allowed in the photo, but 1 man has to be on the motorcycle and at least 1/3 of the motorcycle must show.
friiskiwi: Can there be other people in the background, like in the thumb? ( 5 years and 3378 days ago )
smokebigbird: can it be a adult female also?? ( 5 years and 3378 days ago )
deus: can the motorcycle have more than 2 wheels? ( 5 years and 3378 days ago )
jawshoewhah: Doesn't say anyone else CAN'T be in the shot. I think clarification on whether or not it HAS to be a man is in order. Deus: Unless it had a side car, how else would a motorcycle have two wheels? ( 5 years and 3377 days ago )
Contest Moderator: The contest title is adult man, therefore it has to be a man. And a motorcycle is a two wheeled vehicle, anything with more than two weels will be considered off topic. ( 5 years and 3377 days ago )
FallingHorse: Little hard to tell if the rider is an adult male when they are wearing a full face helmet ( 5 years and 3375 days ago )
jawshoewhah: Well I guess that's an advantage in this contest, Fallinghorse. A loophole even. ( 5 years and 3374 days ago )
jadedink: Just a clarification, a trike (which is a modified motorcycle with 3 wheels) is still considered a motorcycle. There is a whole group of trike riders around here who would be insulted if you told them it wasn't a motorcycle. ( 5 years and 3372 days ago )
jadedink: http://www.trikesaustralia.com/images/Trike_Picture.jpg Just for making a point. Not that i'd enter a shot of this, but..its still technically a motorcycle, yeah? ( 5 years and 3372 days ago )
Contest Moderator: The legal definition of a motorcycle for the purposes of registration, taxation and rider licensing in most countries is a powered two-wheel motor vehicle. Merriam Webster's definition of a motorcycle is : a 2-wheeled automotive vehicle for one or two people ( 5 years and 3372 days ago )
kyricom: Yeah... there's a bunch of three year olds around here riding trikes, and they'd insist they were riding "bikes" too. ( 5 years and 3371 days ago )

There seems to be a new feature in the stats that now tells us which photo has the highest percentage and this one is it! So congrats on highest ranking photo this week and 1st.
Actually I think this misunderstanding may arise again in the future: on the one side the contest rules request anonymous shots, on the other one authors usually make several shots of the same thing/event so it would be a pity not to place several nice shots if on theme with different contest themes.
The rule could be "no similar shots in one and the same the same contest" which would allow authors to use different shots (of the same event) in different contests.
Mods' opinion?

Friskiwi i was referring to fallinghorse's "used before " comment
Looking at the comments, I have to agree with Cocor. This is a different contest, and it's definitely a different shot, and a good one too. To be honest, I don't actually remember who the author is, I will of course as soon as I vote,, but it's the shot that I remember, and well done for having such a memorable photograph, considering the hundreds we look at each week just on this site.
I will cast my vote.

This shot is very similar to one used in another contest but since it is in fact a different shot in a different contest it will be allowed to stay.
this is a great shot, but it looks like a lot of tonal contrast has been used, or maybe high clarity. It sort of takes some of the reality of the shot away for me, and makes it more 'poster' like.
author says:
Well adien it hasn't. Just slight contrast to remove some of the haze.Very little has been done to this pic. It was very bright day in 100 degree weather. Have you been to moto cross event? Just trying to figure out your point of reference.
I go to many moto events, and I know there is a lot of debris in the air. It just looked to me like a high tonal contrast shot, I didn't say it was though. There is a heavy haze in the background, but the motorcycles in the foreground, along with the debris, are very stark. It is still a great capture whatever way you look at it.
author says:
Its stark because there is no one in front of the front bike. If you notice the bikes get more hazy as you follow the bikes back. You see more dirt and more exhaust heat as you go. The last bike is almost an orange blob.

NICE!!! Good angel also!
Nice one..
Just barely a man! GL!
I went up to them and said, I need a photo of a man and a bike,he said, "Here's a bike and I'm a MAN". Who am I to argue.
this good one,
There seems to be a new feature in the stats that now tells us which photo has the highest percentage and this one is it! So congrats on highest ranking photo this week and 1st.
