Ladybugs - Photography Contest [33 entries]
Contest goal:
"Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home..." But before they do, make sure you get a good shot of them. Ladybugs are one of the few insects almost no one is afraid of, so it's the perfect opportunity to get some good "insect shots." Enter your best shot of a ladybug (or ladybugs). Other things can be in the shot, but the ladybug should be the focus. Macros are not required, but encouraged.

( 5 years and 3326 days ago ) nita1983: we call them lady beetles here in Oz...and its quite nice to see how the ones in some of the pics on here at the moment vary from ours...ours a orange/red and the head is all black (no white eye area)..very nice pics..time for me to find a lady beetle and get some shots ( 5 years and 3324 days ago )

This little lady/guy was on my windshield goin to get lunch. I drove so it wouldn't fall off and the wind take it's life (yes I know they fly) but when I got home I placed him/her on a leaf and it was nice enough to stay and let me take some shots :)... or it was still in shock... either way it lived and I got some shots. LOL (5 years and 3326 days ago)
