Contest goal:
We've had a lot of photography contests with macros, and one about skin afflictions... let's mix both, but subtract the afflictions. This contest is for macro photos of human skin. The only criterion is that no afflictions, or blood or fresh scars should be visible. Let people see the beauty that lies in the skin.

If you have a high res, I would suggest uploading it. It will help with your score. It seems your center focus could have been better but still nice detail in the ridges. GL!
thanks for the suggestion I was wondering what you meant by improving my center focus
what jawsh is meaning I think, is the focal center of this image is not the center of the thumb or finger. It means that although the dof is good, it is not central to the shot and throws the eye off. The image is oof just above the center of the fingerprint, just where you would expect it to be sharply focused.......
I thought so it seems as though I have a wonky finger print; not a typical round symmetrical one you would see as an archetype
