If we pay attention, we can find "art" almost anywhere. One unusual place to find a unique artistic pattern would be in a spilt liquid. Enter your most artistic portrayal of spilt liquid. It must be a liquid. Good luck!
Required level: 15+ or higher. Status: finished. Check out the winners below!
MnMCarta: This contest is killing me! I'm so accident prone that I constantly spill stuff but I never know when it's gonna happen and to try to spill something without ruining anything is gonna take a real miracle for me! LOL Gonna try though!!! ( 5 years and 3402 days ago )
jawshoewhah: I'm thinking the best entries are going to be either the ones in motion or the most colorful. But that's just IMO..... ( 5 years and 3401 days ago )
MnMCarta: This contest is irritating me to NO END!!! I can't do what ya'll do or how you do it! Guess there will be other contest... ( 5 years and 3401 days ago )

Nator: Level 15 required huh...lol... ( 5 years and 3400 days ago )
MnMCarta: no I'm at 15 now I just can't get the shots I want. I have such a vision for some things and can't get them. I don't have enough hands, experience or know-how ( 5 years and 3400 days ago )
Nator: MnMCarta In my previous comment I wasn't referring to you but how simple this contest is and how ridiculous the level requirement is ( 5 years and 3400 days ago )
MnMCarta: Oh I'm sorry To me this isn't simple cause I can't get the visions I have or even anything eye catching imo but its cool cause I've learned. Stuff ( 5 years and 3400 days ago )
jawshoewhah: I've found a method to really make my imagination run wild with ideas for contests and entries. It's an old family herbal remedy. ( 5 years and 3400 days ago )
kyricom: Nator... I think the simpleness and the level may be part of the point. Let's see what the alleged "upper levels" can do to knock our socks off with their entries. ( 5 years and 3399 days ago )
I had a little stain shot but I gave up after seeing yours.... congratulations for your future win

cocor....never give up! Just keep trying and you'll get the look you're going for. Shots like this take time, practice, patience and a bit of luck to get. (And a boat load of glasses and milk.....LOL)
Nice one...I was wondering when you would get into the mix....really great comp and lighting here, great entry

I got to ask. How many attempts did it take before you got it right? It's just a stunning shot, excellent clarity. And I guess water and gin look a lot alike in case you needed to re-shoot many times.
author says:
Ok Josh let's get something straight right off the bat, gin is an abomination that tastes like pine needles so in this case I was substituting water for vodka
And actually believe it or not this only took two shots. We took a few test shots with no water to set the lighting then dropped it filled with water onto a towel, I didn't like the way the water was lit so I moved my light just a bit and dropped it again, but this time the glass fell bounced off the towel and shattered on the floor! My friend looked at me and said "well I hope one of those were good!"
wow I love this! I actually thought of doing this but didn't have that jar so I used a pen and I could never get the dang ink in focus! I think that maybe a class on lighting might help but either way this is fantastic!!!
Pretty cool, love the details in HR, good luck to you!

author says:
Josh....I shot like 80 frames to get the look I wanted on this one. So probably about 15-20 attempts....but I now have a shot or two that might work in a different contest in the future as well as sometimes I have the glass laying on it's side with the liquid still suspended inside....ready to spill as it were...

Looks like it was quite the project then. Well, good luck to you!
cool!
I remember the shot that came just after this one
Gosh, right before it hit the grounds, nice pic!
wow how cool is that. However it's not a spill yet, lol. JK.
Perfect
You are setting a high standard.
if the contents are out of the container then it would be a spill wouldn't it!?
I am amazed how you caught that just before it hit the ground!
yeah! It's not a spill if it goes UP! lmao!!! J/K... this is awesome and so on theme!!! Great shot!!!
Catch the moment! very nice..gl
Very very nice shot! best of luck to you

I tried the milk shot tonight and my husband mentioned how I drank a 1/2 gallon of milk in one day... I just said I like milk. LMAO
