Friss: i got some info for you about B&W and Greyscale,
In photography and computing, a grayscale or greyscale digital image is an image in which the value of each pixel is a single sample, that is, it carries only intensity information. Images of this sort, also known as black-and-white, are composed exclusively of shades of gray, varying from black at the weakest intensity to white at the strongest.

Beautiful portrait. But in all fairness the contest is about going max contrast, if you did this here you would loose the "gray" and it would be on theme, that's how I understand it anyways. Still like I said really nice portrait.
Wonderful portrait indeed but the rules of this contest clearly say:
" contrast turned up to 100%, so there's ONLY black and white"

Thank you for all of your comments...actually i can't get that 100% pure black on the first maximum contrast...so i have to give it nearly 2 maximum contrast...so picture changed already.
well that's fine. I can't tell if the areas that seem gray are just a lot of little bnw specs which I've seen in some of the other detailed shots without the high res but either way I still like the shot. it was well thought out.
nicely done
Howdie stranger!
