In this contest, enter a shot that could only be captured at that split second moment. Whether it's the last stretch as runners break the tape at the finish line, a bullet exploding its target on contact, or even a baseball making contact with the bat that scores the winning home run.
Your goal is to shoot that split-second moment that is usually achieved using a fast frame-rate setting. It must show some sort of action or activity in the shot. If it is not obvious, please give a description of the moment's significance. For the purposes of this contest, scenery photos are off theme if it's the main focus. Photos of people are encouraged but not required.
Required level: 5+ or higher. Status: finished. Check out the winners below!
great shot, just wish the focus has been on the bird rather than the hand.

You're right Kiwi, but it all happened in an instant, I saw a seagull swooping down and I started to shoot without having time to take good focus and framing.
I think think this is a superb example of what this contest is about! Friiskiwi may be right but this is still awesome.
On another note I've been on this site for almost a year now and it wasn't until your comment Author that I realized what Friiskiwi's screen name meant! Wow do I feel dumb
Love all the chat about my screen name, and I still think it's an awesome photo.
I won't kill you Mikael, after all it's the Aussies who have the funny accent. For those who are wondering, the Aussies pronounce six like sex.
I took about 30 shots to finally get this one. This cute little family was sitting on top of my roof and I was sitting on the edge of my window in a really uncomfortable position. But at the end I got my picture and some back pain, but it was worth it. (5 years and 3299 days ago)

That is fantastic, the perfectly blue sky gives a great backdrop. Wonderful timing too!
I can't believe it! Absolutely great!
