I respect the fact a good percentage of us don't have photo studios, controlled lighting, infinity walls, ect, ect,,ect! Making do with what you have stretches your ability in the future to be creative and inventive, so keep it up! nice effort!
A different color back drop could make a difference, even black would be interesting; my wardrobe still comes in handy for back drops!

Clear shot with a nice focus, but is that a padlock in the background? Can you tell us how that fits the image... what's the story you're trying to tell?

I was wondering too but then I saw the colors of the polish in the turn knob of the the lock. Pulls it into the theme to me.

I'm not really liking the composition and the messy-ness is grossing me out (but that's just me). But then again, it's a nice concept and the title makes up for it but I would have done it in a way so the concept is obvious even without the title being there... if you know what I mean.

It looks like you used a flash for this shot.Flash creates "nasty" shadows (in this case).
You should use flash if you want to reveal/hide parts of your composition.If you want to create a sense of mystery,let the viewers imagination travel though your photograph flash is the best choice you can have but in this case is not.You could use a lamp or any other light source,lighting the subject from left or right or even from above or behind !The background is white & makes it hard for your composition to stand out "pop out" & manifested.

I appreciate your comments. I used some level revisions just for fun. I liked the contrast between the fruit and glass, but I guess it just has no depth. Just experimenting.
