UncleJimmy: for those of you having trouble getting both object in focus, here is a link that explains hyperfocal distance, or the "trick" of getting nearly everything in the photo into acceptable focus:

MnMCarta: ok so most of that was completely greek to me but I got that they need to be a good distance from the camera for it to work... I think. Gonna try something hopefully today or tomorrow.

The best shot in this contest in my opinion as it really "tells a story", the composition is creative, the swimming girl is very expressive, the swimming pool is huge, the final result is remarkable!
