Thanks to Momof4boyoboys (5 years and 3244 days ago)
it "almost" could look like the lightening struck at night....and the place where it struck is still burning the next morning with all the smoke. Great photos. Love them
it's on theme, but I have to agree, it doesn't work for me either.

Ok my friends, you know I'm open to constructive critism. Please tell me why it doesn't quite work for you? The photos that I chose to put together? The idea in general? Please! More info!!
For me, it is the photos themselves, I am not sure exactly what it is that turns me off it. The night shot has a harsh flash in it, and the day shot is against a boring background, with a nasty shadow across the lady's face, there is nothing to shout 'look at me'! not some of your best work author...........
It's a great idea, but the daytime background, is just plain boring, and while the face is a good fit, for me what really jars is the body, the shoulder in the daytime makes her look deformed.
Having said that, I feel a strong crop would improve the image.
I would crop so only 1/3 of the picture above the head is shown, crop the left side to just outside the grill on the road. and the daylight side to take up slightly more that 1/3 of the image. GL

And now taking another look at it, you're both right. Well! With that critique in mind (and it's much appreciated) I hope you held your votes so I can possibly find better photos.
Nice entry, over 200 votes on the old one. More votes than on any other photo, wonder if the votes are good or bad. This is why I don't like changing an entry. GL
well done, author!
It's settled... make a room up for me. I'm MOVING IN! Great shot
I think it would have looked better if you split each image and put them together.
Jaws, I did consider that, but decided against it
I am with Amanda, so make me a room too! Beautiful shot!
Magnificant!
Wonderful!
Very, very nice - but I do like Josh's suggestion, too
I like both the subject ( I am addicted to quite places like this) and the processing!
Good luck!
