The goal of this contest is simple. Take a photo of something ironic. It can be anything, as long as it represents some ironic situation. If it's not clear where the irony lies, mention it in the description.
jawshoewhah: Would you say that "Oxymoron" could also be viewed as Ironic? ( 5 years and 3215 days ago )
kyricom: No... an oxymoron is an oxymoron. There can be either verbal, or situational irony ( 5 years and 3215 days ago )
whimsicalb: can you do a double exposure. if it is taken in camera with no photoshop. my camera offers in image overlay option. can this be the used? ( 5 years and 3214 days ago )
adeincyprus: Here is a good example of Ironic............ http://media.ebaumsworld.com/picture/jimbo056/Ironic.png ( 5 years and 3214 days ago )
rbsgrl: Gonna be a lot of removals on this one! ( 5 years and 3214 days ago )
UncleJimmy: @ whimsicalb - although some cameras may offer this option (double exposure) it IS quite hard to PROVE you did that in camera....for the sake of not having an entry removed that you worked very hard to get, I would seriously advise against using that feature and just shoot the image "straight-up" as it were... ( 5 years and 3213 days ago )
adeincyprus: Does anyone here actually understand the meaning of the word irony.......most of the pics do not suggest this so far. ( 5 years and 3206 days ago )
kyricom: Is that a rhetorical question, Ade? ( 5 years and 3205 days ago )
Howdie stranger! If you want to participate in this contest, just:
Perhaps the pinhole camera caused the vignette then
Actually, come to think of it...we made pinhole cameras at school when I was in highschool and almost every picture processed with it had a vignette.
I really like the shot
Some lens/camera combos (like UWA on a full frame dSLR) and lens/filter combos create a vignette. I think the no vignette rule applies to those that are produced with software and are acceptable for entries like this that are created with camera type.
LOL... Good One!
well spotted
you might wanna lose the vignette author.........
It was taken with a pinhole camera. Not done with any photo software.
and your point is?............ it is still vignette, and is still not allowed.
