This isn't a close up but that's just IMO...

The description says flower closeup, not necessarily blossom closeup, as most have done. I chose to focus on the entire plant because part of the beauty of a dogwood is its foliage. Note that the whole thing doesn't fit in the frame. This is a closeup of the entire flower......not to disrespect your opinion.

unfortunately your focus is more on the smaller flowers at the back of the shot. Also try bumping up the colour/contrast a bit, it will make those pretty yellow flowers stand out.

This shot would be better if the focus was on the flower and not the leaf.

I see you have changed the pic, but unfortunately you still have the same issue with this one The leaves at the base of the plant are in much clearer focus than the flower itself.
