In this contest, like the panorama 360 contest, your goal is to take a full 360 degrees of shots, but this time, it is going around an object, to capture it's full surface. It's kind of like making a globe into a flat map, but with panorama photography. As long as you show the full surface 360 of any subject, it's on theme. Have fun and good luck!
Required level: 10+ or higher. Status: finished. Check out the winners below!
What my entry would have been. . . If i was "Level 10" lol
Cool image I created a while back of a guys calf tattoo. Made from 4 images stitched together in CS5. Neat eh? Anyone level 10 that wants to enter it, you can take the credit, let me know I'll send it to ya lol ( 5 years and 3166 days ago )
jeaniblog: Arghhh, can't get this right!!!! ( 5 years and 3166 days ago )
smokebigbird: still need a link on how we do this please. ( 5 years and 3166 days ago )
UncleJimmy: @ smokebigbird....there are no links on how to do this that I'm aware of. I basically started from scratch and painstakingly hand stitched. Automated software is basically useless in this type of panorama because for some reason it does not recognize an "outside" circle pano ans does not yield a great result; GL ( 5 years and 3165 days ago )
jawshoewhah: This is going to be quite challenging I think ( 5 years and 3165 days ago )
jawshoewhah: FlairDevil: Just kick ass in the all levels contest and get a level 10 for next week. ( 5 years and 3165 days ago )
kyricom: OH GOD!!!!! We have to do something that can't be done with automated software!!!??? You SADISTS!!! ( 5 years and 3164 days ago )
jawshoewhah: Yeah, auto merge doesn't work. The more I play around with these, the more I've learned a tighter overlay is the answer to making these work. ( 5 years and 3163 days ago )
wazowski: I guess it's not allowed (cause it's not really photography), but a way to make an image from ie a jar is to put it on a scanner and let the jar roll with a same speed as the scanner light . But then again, how much can you call that a photo.... ( 5 years and 3159 days ago )
jawshoewhah: I'm surprised no one tried shooting a globe. I just couldn't find one in time. ( 5 years and 3159 days ago )
kyricom: Ohhhh, good idea Josh. I wish I had thought of that. We have several laying around ( 5 years and 3159 days ago )
Howdie stranger! If you want to participate in this contest, just:
Great job! It looks like a little village
This one looks great. Without knowing, you wouldn't think it's one single object just from all around it. Definitely my favorite.
This is really a nice image and more like I would expect in a 360 degree shot.
It's a unique entry BTW, GL!
And my previous comment disappeared????
I asked how you make it look like it's floating, that's all.
Just high contrast, Josh..
Super cool work author...best of luck
way to go nice win.
Congrats, fabulous shot.
Thanks for all the votes & great comments, Guys!
