Take a photo of something that is symmetrical. Minor differences are allowed, but the overall result has to be symmetrical. Surrounding objects are allowed as well, but focus your camera on the symmetric subject.
Status: finished. Check out the winners below!
kyricom: Some nice shots - but there are also some where the people need to look up what symmetry means ( 5 years and 3160 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Kyricom beat me to it! There are several entries in this contest that are not symmetrical at all. Please if you are unsure, ask! Symmetry is a cut and dry thing no room for debate. Think of it like this, if you cut your subject in half does one half look exactly like the other half? If no then you entry is off topic. ( 5 years and 3159 days ago )
rbsgrl: Question before I begin voting: Mod, do you mean cut in half vertically or horizontally or is either considered symmetrical? Thx! ( 5 years and 3158 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Either would be symmetrical, you could even cut it diagonal ( 5 years and 3158 days ago )
rbsgrl: Gotcha! Thx! ( 5 years and 3158 days ago )
CrystleClear: wow half of these are not symmetrical..im going to skip out on the voting for this one. ( 5 years and 3157 days ago )
Contest Moderator: A big thing I think everyone needs to take into consideration is that the guidelines say "Take a photo of something that is symmetrical" it does not say that the photo itself needs to be symmetrical. ( 5 years and 3157 days ago )
CrystleClear: well mods in some of these pics the object itself isnt really symmetrical either.. ( 5 years and 3157 days ago )
Contest Moderator: And that's why we have the red flag system! ( 5 years and 3156 days ago )

Very awesome photo, you may want to consider cropping just above the street lamp post IMO.

Because of the high iso used for this shot (iso 1000,very difficult light conditions / low light environment / hand held) there is some noise.
I hope is not that bad! (5 years and 3159 days ago)
Great shot Author! I don't think the noise is really that bad at all. I don't know what software you use but adobe lightroom 3 has an amazing noise reduction option if you ever have noise issues in the future.
