very difficult to see the stereo effect in this one author, the syncronisation is off.

This will certainly get you lots of views and votes.
I thought we were supposed to see THREE-D, not double-D
hahaha, good one Kyricom
Well, I agree with the title!
author, your hi res is not very hi res......... there is not a great deal of difference from the size of the contest image. Also, the stereo depth of this is not great, it almost looks as if you have put two copies of the same image side by side. A good stereo image is one where you feel as though you could reach and touch what you are looking at, I don't get that feeling with this image.............. and please Kyricom, no gags about that comment.......
No feeling Ade? They make a little blue pill for that! (you only asked kyricom not to comment!)
Thanks, Adam... I was biting my lip!
doesn't really work for me, i dont see anything that would be 3d in this photo..
This is beyond Stereographic, it's Quadraphonic.
mmm, I forgot about you lurking around here Adam................

This pictures was actually created out of 2 different pictures just a couple of inches taken away from each other, because from what I understand that is what this contest is about :)
Any suggestions welcome. (5 years and 3120 days ago)
This appears to be the same image cropped two different ways, there is no perspective change at all and one side matches the other perfectly when the two are aligned. It is viewable as a stereograph but being that it is the same image there is zero depth.
So you suggest taking new pictures and try to get the perspective a bit different?
I think I'll give that a try. Thank you for your comment.
And by the way. They were actually 2 pictures, taking from the same position, as I said I just slightly shifted them.
But I guess I understand your point quiet well. I'll try to get a better shot
To get the 3D effect you take a photo and then move the camera like an inch or 2 to the right or left and try to take a similar shot as your first photo. The 3D effect only works if theres 2 similar but different photos. If they are identical (even if you just cropped them) your eyes will just merge them back together and it'll produce the 2D original photo rather than a 3D shot.
Author, take a shot with all your weight on your left foot, then take the same shot, without moving your camera from your face, but instead, shift all your weight to your right foot. This gives enough 'shift' in the images to effect a good stereo image.
Thank you very much for all your suggestions. I will try my best to get a new shot as soon as my schedule allows it. I will raise the flag for this and ask the mods to remove this entry for me, to prevent any further votes until I have a better picture
yeah, when i look at this and i cross my eyes, it remains looking flat, not 3D... (i feel silly asking this) are you sure you took 2 pictures, and if you did, are you sure you didnt just use one of them and shift it??? theres nothing 3D here

ehh beautiful rose but i dont see it "pop" when i cross my eyes..
I have to agree, there is a 'stereo' effect there, but it doesn't jump out at you.
