In this diptych you'll have to show us the same object before and after you have smashed it or used it. You can use a light bulb, a coffee mug or anything you want. Smashing can be: dropping it, throwing it, using a hammer or other heavy object... as long as the object is broken.
Using can be: a burned down match. In both definitions the original object can not be used anymore for the original purpose afterwards. One exception: you can not eat the object. The first photo should show us the object before you smashed - used it, the second after you smashed - used it.
You may use Photoshop to place the 2 photos together and a small border between the images is allowed.
Required level: 10+ or higher. Status: finished. Check out the winners below!
Is the lighting exactly the same for these two? Seems the first one's lighting isn't as nice as the second one. The detail is much clearer in the second. Great shot though!

I quite agree, but the lighting and exposure was exactly the same, I can only assume it's the way the wine picks up the light that makes the difference.
An once the glass was broken I couldn't re-take the first one.
The lighting does appear to be a little different, but I think the minor difference is accentuated by the fact that the broken glass gives more surfaces for the light to reflect off of, making it more noticeable
Thank you J we don't use them any more! It was a good idea to destroy it! But such a shame we can not get the time back where we loved them so much! Clever idea!

yeah that's what I was thinking too...that the wine had something to do with how the light caught the glass.

Thats what I was thinking, the lighting relected more off the broken glass. It is a brilliant photo!
