ok I had another picture that took 5 shots to get but when I put them together it look squished. I chose this one because it showed the whole petal. I didn't want to go further away because it takes away from the macro of it all. Still fell in love with this one even if it only took three shots to get.

I knew they were about ready to bloom and i told them yesterday that if they didnt (because i needed them for this shot but had a different idea i couldnt get) that i was going to chop them up into little pieces and burn them! Kidding of course they did cooperate and im pretty happy with this.

No. Actually i just brought the three pics into pse and it put them together. All i did was flatten image, crop and work with the blacks. I dont even remember what burning is to tell you the truth.

Grrr, friiski, you got me measuring. 20x7x9 cm, though its actual dimensions are 10x7x9 cm, as the metal plate upon which it sits, was added by me to make it steady so that I could work with it every time the ship pitched and rolled. All this a short while after the... Invention of Fire....

Nice one -- glad to see there are still a few people around that even know what it is. Have not used one for years but think I could still send code at a least 20 WPM used to be able to send & receive at better than 50 but I was a lot younger with better hearing and reflexes then (LOL) besides moved up to a "BUG" after usng one of these for several years back in my HAM radio days
