We've had several types of panoramas so far, but no macro panorama yet. So have a look if you can find a small and long or high object and turn it into a panorama shot which is made out of at least 3 photos.
You must post the separate photos in the SBS. Sounds easy? You'll be surprised! Have fun.
Required level: 5+ or higher. Status: finished. Check out the winners below!

friiskiwi: I thought so too, so took an other shot of my first entry, 1 image different lens, and I have to say the effect was no where near as good. ( 5 years and 3092 days ago )
MnMCarta: Haha friiskiwi i remember that too! I calld a friend and had her get them from flickr and post for me! Couldnt pass up the lightning shots! Lol ( 5 years and 3092 days ago )
Howdie stranger! If you want to participate in this contest, just:
Thanks, this was my second attempt. I stitched them together with Photoshops Photo merge program, but initially didn't blend them. I find that works better. I then looked at each image and in some cases erased part of the image, where the overlapping image was sharper, etc.
still tryin to figure out the resize from something that's 12000+ to something that just fits. I'm either too big still or waaay too small. (5 years and 3096 days ago)
Author, if you turn the image vertically you can load incredibly LONG Images (Just make sure you stay in the 5mb limit, (in most Photo programs you will be able to VIEW ACTUAL PIXELS and this will tell you when you reach the size you want for high res WITHOUT losing Resolution)
Remember, Web Pages run vertical forever, but have limits horizontal.. GOOD LUCK (super nice image BTW!!!)
sorry author, but i don't see panorama in this photo, the high res isnt clear either..
author says:
What are Earth are you talking about? How is 4 hand stitched shots not a pano? As far as the high res not being clear I don't know what your talking about, the spoon isn't in focus but but the beans certainly are. I wanted the focus to be on the detail of the beans not the spoon.
author, im sorry - you are right with the panorama and it is a wonderful image, but i see everything in the photo is fuzzy and unclear in the high res, if it was a little more in focus it would be a fave of mine
i agree with crystle..this is a panorama but its not a macro type.
author says:
How can this be considered anything but a macro pano? that spoon is only 2 1/2 inches long. A macro is anything with a 1:1 ratio, if you look at the full size picture the spoon is actually larger than lifesize!
author says:
Ok I re-shot this so now hopefully it looks better in High-Res. Also before you vote please keep in mind that this is not a regular size spoon, this is a baby spoon. I used it to emphasize the size of the coffee beans.
Great job! I haven't tried this yet but I imagine it's not easy, I like the delicate subject and the lighting.
gorgeous clarity! very nice job!
