friiskiwi: I assume that also means no Sunrises? ( 5 years and 3147 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Sunrises are off theme too ( 5 years and 3147 days ago )
Hacked: That is not sunset ! OKAY people standing opposite to sunset not allowed ?? ( 5 years and 3147 days ago )
locksmagic: Please make sure you know the definition of a sunset before you start flagging entries!
The time of sunset is defined in astronomy as the moment the trailing edge of the Sun's disk disappears below the horizon in the west. ( 5 years and 3147 days ago )
smokebigbird: most of the photo's I have seen use sunsets or sunrises to help create the stilhouette, so thats not allowed ?? ( 5 years and 3147 days ago )
friiskiwi: Wonderful samples, but only 13 out of 50 not taken at sunset or sunrise, bound to confuse a few.
Then again, looking at locksmith definition, if the sun is still in the photo it's on theme? ( 5 years and 3147 days ago )
Contest Moderator: These definitions will be used (taken from merriam websters dictionary):
SUNSET:
1: the apparent descent of the sun below the horizon; also : the accompanying atmospheric effects
2: the time when the upper limb of the sun disappears below the horizon as a result of the diurnal rotation of the earth
SUNRISE:
1: the apparent rising of the sun above the horizon; also : the accompanying atmospheric effects
2: the time when the upper limb of the sun appears above the horizon as a result of the diurnal rotation of the earth
This means if the sun is visible it will NOT be considered to be a sunset or sunrise and therefor allowed. ( 5 years and 3146 days ago )
kyricom: Geez.... just don't have a picture with the sun and it's not a giant issue ( 5 years and 3146 days ago )
friiskiwi: Don't worry there are other ways to get a silhouette. ( 5 years and 3146 days ago )
creativefreedom: I suggested this contest, that is the point, as Friskiwi stated, "there are other ways" yet people continue to submit photos of people silhouetted in front of the sunset...and the mods leave them on????? ( 5 years and 3143 days ago )
Contest Moderator: @creativefreedom: the definition according to Merriam Websters dictionary is quoted above, if that's the definition of a sunset - sunrise then we are bound to it. Not the mods fault, next time try to define your contest description better if you have something else in mind. ( 5 years and 3143 days ago )

This is an amazing shot. I like that sort of eerie atmosphere. Well done author!
It reminds me of those horror movies when the victim is taken off guard and has no chace to escape at all no matter how hard she tries to open the window , or there could be lost of other scenes that could come up to my mind as well, but let's leave it in the horror one, haha. Let's all look at the picture and get carried away thinking whatever it comes to our minds. Great shot..
