I don't think you had to crop a photo, and as a result of so much cropping, your photo is very low res, blurry, which is made even more obvious by comparing it to the original. Also, the crop, not flattering at all to the boys face. The slight tilt throws the balance of the photo off, with a close crop, symmetry is very flattering to the composition. And another issue with the cropping is once all the greens left the photos, the red stand out twice as much now, so you might want to change that. Has potential, just needs a little work.

The contest is about cropping the subject in the photo and I cropped it appropriately. Is it red, yes because the little boy, my nephew, is has red hair and fair skin and on this day we were at the beach and his face was quite red from the sun and the heat. It is, at least to me, not at all blurry. I was actually surprised at how clear the photo is with such a dramatic cropping. Personally I like the tilt, it gives the photo a bit a character instead of a straight on shot. Thank you for your comment dem90 but I must disagree with you.

What a lovely ginger!!! I used to have a HUGE freckle on my nose.. it faded.. crap.. I miss it.. wonderful capture.. (and Gingers are not evil.. they just seem to know more then everybody else LOL)
