Contest goal:

Imagine you are a freelance photographer and have been asked to take some great shots of things you regard as healthy e.g. fruit and veg for a Health Magazine. Your photographs should be very natural, happy and refreshing; almost making you want to take a bite at the screen :)

Here's the catch: You can only have one fruit or veg in your photo AND it must be on a plate. You can add forks or spoons or cups or napkins - whatever to your scene but no humans or any living things are allowed. Good luck and make sure to eat it after you photograph it!

friiskiwi: I think it's great that the the guidelines are so precise. Should be very little confusion on this on. ( 5 years and 3070 days ago )
Toothpick134: Yep.. Only fruit and Veg ( 5 years and 3070 days ago )
friiskiwi: As somebody has pointed out, there is a difference between 1 fruit/veg and and 1 piece of fruit/veg. I had interpreted this as 1 piece but can see the other point of view.
Mods, please clarify. ( 5 years and 3068 days ago )
friiskiwi: MODS! Please clarify, 1 piece or 1 kind? ( 5 years and 3066 days ago )
kyricom: friiskiwi, you have answered your own question. "Fruit" can be singular or plural, but in your average sentence it's plural. When a doctor says "have fruit in your diet," they don't mean if you eat an apple you're ok. I say you answered your own question because you put the necessary qualifier in to make it singular - "piece." A piece of fruit is singular, fruit is (generally) plural (minus qualifiers). So, when the theme says "one fruit or veg" it would be interpreted as one TYPE of fruit, otherwisae it would say something like "one PIECE of fruit." ( 5 years and 3066 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Kyricom has answered this correctly, one TYPE of fruit is OK. ( 5 years and 3065 days ago )

Blueberries are one of the so-called "superfoods." They're high in Potassium and vitamin C, with great levels of antioxidents. They lower your risk of heart disease and cancer, as well as being an anti-inflamatory (which helps fight almost all chronic diseases). Plus... they are YUMMY! (5 years and 3066 days ago)
