Nice bird, but it's too centered. Try trop crop it to put the bird at the first third of your picture. You'll see, your picture will be more attractive.

You also may want to add some contrast.

You should have straighten the horizon and crop it to avoid having the head of the seagull just in the middle of your picture.

I find the first blurred zone too large. This draws our attention as the most important is the net area.

Perhaps you should try to crop out the blurred zone to make your picture a square one ? It's just an idea ...
