Making a digital pinhole camera is simple and the results can be quite pleasing. There are several ways to do it but here is a nice tutorial.
For this contest make your own DIGITAL pinhole camera and take a picture of any subject. A 2 part SBS is mandatory for this. 1st part, you must show your DIY pinhole lens. 2nd you must show your original unedited image. Voters keep in mind that because there is no actual lens there is no way to focus your image therefore all pinhole images will have a definitive softness to them. Vote on image content, composition, and overall feel and not on sharpness.
Required level: 20+ or higher. Status: finished. Check out the winners below!

Artifakts: Too hard for me ... I give up ! ( 5 years and 3192 days ago )
UncleJimmy: I think what friiskiwi is saying is that since we have to show our DIY pinhole 'lens' in the SBS, that by looking at the photos of it, the voters will figure out the author...perhaps though, many of them will look similar? ( 5 years and 3191 days ago )
friiskiwi: A great way to show all sensor dust. ( 5 years and 3191 days ago )
MnMCarta: I don't see the point in these types of shots. They are blurry and hurt my eyes... what exactly are they used for? ( 5 years and 3189 days ago )
Contest Moderator: CONTEST UPDATE: Although it is possible to put a pinhole cover over a lens and take a pinhole style shot that is not the purpose of this contest. For this contest you must use no type of lens other than a pinhole. ( 5 years and 3189 days ago )
Howdie stranger! If you want to participate in this contest, just:
Author you seem to have a lot of distortion going on here, I would suggest making a tilt shift pinhole lens and re shooting
author says:
Maybe next contest Adam...perhaps we could make it a 1V1? "Tilt-shift Pinhole"? LOL
But seriously, I quite like the distortion of the way I shoot my pano's, it creates interesting curves and sometimes pleasing, unexpected results...
Now that is really ambitious , well done

I like the distortion in this pano too. Love the idea of a tilt shift pinhole lens - Adam could be onto something
I want to see that 1 vs 1... bring it to us, boys!
