hey nice balance...
I think this would have popped more if you have taken the picture of only the glasses (not the books) and it have been a solid wall (not with border) Possibly do it again?
thanks for the comment specially for improving my entry. problem is im out of town. so no chance to do it again. thanks k5683, jfish & drskn08.

I would crop this so that only the purple sheet and tin cans are showing
i had that shot as well but in that case the height of piled up boxes was not that impressive as in this shot... so after taking opinion of my friends i submitted this... well thanx for suggestion kellie !
you know that you can crop this particular photo right? I would at least crop out the top where the sky is showing.
i agree will make it much better Author.
ok friends.. done..
Soooooo much better
The top tins now pop because the highlights in them are not competing with the sky now. The white stars in the fabric also.
lol.. yeah i find them better.. i had a different thought while posting this pic but now really it looks much better.. aaaah much to learn...
Very good, I learned alot about cropping among many other photography tricks of the trade here thanks to some very helpful members on this site.
Good luck and keep on shooting
thank you craig.. but is there any trick for cropping ? i would like to have the link if you have
I would say the essence of the shot. Removing what is not needed like the top part of your image. Rule of thirds is another good one.

There is lots of advice on the net and others here that are willing to share their knowledge
I will say just a crop can take a mediocre image to a pro shot in 1 simple cut.
and a higher % on your entry
hey thanx craig.. it would be helpful for sure..
I'll bet those last two containers taunted you to add them to the stack. Good job. Lots of good member advice. I still listen every week.
lol ya Rems ! most of the moderators and members in this site are so helpful and encouraging. As far as those two boxes are concerned... I intentionally kept them side to the pillar so that viewer don't get confused and let not think that i have kept a steel pipe rather piled up something... hehehe
