I have recently moved to PA, but Watkins Glen will always be home! Its in upstate NY at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. My parents live there and our house is directly across the street from this harbor. We have a truly beautiful view :) I spend a lot of time out on the peer (this was taken from) when I'm home, plus the little building on the left is one of my favorite bars and they have the best burgers in town!!! Very nice, I especially like the contrast of the motion blur of the guy's face to sharp definition of his body. One suggestion though, I think this could be greatly improved if done in HDR so that the windows of the tower aren't blown out.
Haha thanks for the tip, unfortunately this photo was taken with my point and shoot camera and back then I didn't know anything about HDR.
Well then this is a great opportunity for a reshoot! I love going back and redoing my old pictures now that I have better equipment and knowledge, to go back and correct the "mistakes" that you didn't know how to change is really cool. Actually now that I think about it, that would make a sweet contest!
I would love to but I'm not at my hometown at the moment so I actually can't.
I used to live in Toronto, wonderful shot, thanks for bringing back the memory to that wonderful time I had there.
