With the advent of tablet, stylus can vanish against the mighty finger(s) or it can be revived by users who long for a pen touch (5 years and 2999 days ago)
I'm sorry but I have a hard time believing this is real, especially without a high resoultion and the lighting on the pencil seems to be a bit off. I could be totally wrong, so could you please explain this? sorry but had to redflag

@K5683...Hi...dont be doubt on photograph..i can send u the high resolution Jpeg.and with tabletop photography u can not assume the subject with way of light...here the technik is simple... At the topend behind pencil is one needle to hold pencil...the needle shadow which is on diary and BG is cropped...(by framing only)to get decent result i used lights from three way...one is from right to illuminate BG...one is from top to diary and one is from left back to get hard shadow...those three lights r constant.. precisely controlled to get better result.
thanks for the explanation, but I am really confused still. I see nothing that you say....a needle? You talk about a needle shadow but if it was there and is not now, then you are going against photography rules and guidelines by cutting out things.
Like I said, I could be totally wrong---which I have in the past---and said sorry before. As the picture is though, it is just hard to believe.
No one said they are not.
If this was a "paint" contest this set up would be perfect.
It's a writing tools contest so i think that a letter or some sort of writing would be more fitting instead of a paint but that's just me Adam!
So if I show a pencil drawing a picture of a stick figure it's no longer a writing tool but is now a drawing tool? Come on people, just because it isn't writing atm doesn't mean it is no longer a writing tool!

This set up is not intentional, it is a shot I took along the road to an artist who was reproducing a scene of Budapest
Nice take on the theme, and great shot.
I can hear it. How cool that you saved this apparatus. Very pretty setup.
Love the mood, so warm and elegant. The classical touch matches very well with the writing tool itself - well done
well done,great shot
