Use a deck of cards to create your shot. You don't have to use the whole deck but there must be at least 1 card in the shot. People and other objects are allowed, with the exception of board games that are not traditionally played using cards.
Thanks every one. Darkrider - while the idea isn't anything new (not sure anything is thesedays), I haven't posted this pic anywhere else as I only took it last night (well about 15 attempts before everyone else got tired of sitting in the dark)
Great light graffiti effect - and it matches very well with the "magic" theme Well done

Thank-you everyone for your comments - you wouldn't believe how many times I had to shoot this to get the light trails that I was happy with lol! Good thing digital frames are 'free'
Thanks for confirming me as a friend. I 've enjoyed your entries especially the Royal Flush special effect. I've got a tutorial about it and only need the pin light to start trying it. I hope it turns out as good as your entry. Again thanks for the friend.

Hey Rem - I just used one of those cheap ebay lights that attach to your fingers. The are only a couple dollars for 5. I stuck the cards to the table with blu-tak and manually set the focus with a small f stop to give me a longish exposure time. Then just took several attempts to get the light in the right place

I just ruined a brand new deck of cards for shooting this one. Never mind how you're gonna vote for it, just chip in to help me buy a new one, thank you! (5 years and 3038 days ago)
Thanks, author - I've been told that since I take lousy pictures, I'm not qualified to pass judgement on the photos here...Nice to know my abilities with a camera don't affect my abilities to see.
MossyB, I think your judgement on photos are very good, you are also very good at putting into words what is good about them.Keep it up. Saying that you can't judge photos because you can't take them is like saying you can't tell if food is good if you don't cook.

Brilliantly put, friiski. MossyB I just sent you a pm
I spent so much money in that game that I can't see those cards anymore ! Thanks God I sold my collection last year ... That helped me buying my EOS 7D ^_^

Needs two more people to signify a Bridge game. This looks more like a very serious hand of Poker to me...Great mood, love the cigar and the lighting!
Great use of DOF -- lighting is very nice as well
