Lovely photograph, love the soft colours and the whole feel of this photo. If it was my photo, I would have cropped a little more off the foreground, which IMO would put even more focus on the mushrooms.
The crop really helped this image be even more impressive. The subtle colors of the log in the foreground is impressive, and the focal depth is spot on, with just enough of the image being crystal clear, without too much blur. The toadstools look like they could be animated, with happy little faces. Well done!
Not only was I F2F on my belly in the mud with this vicious 'beast'....it actually DID attack and bite me several times! LOL... (5 years and 2995 days ago)
They can be mean suckers...What a photog will go through in order to get the "perfect" shot! Excellent result, it was worth your suffering!

Thanks...I have never been actually attacked by a goose before, the better photo was by the tourists next to me....getting the shot of me screaming like a girl and running from a bird....LOL!
lol MossyB you kill me. Ok.. with the thin stalks that these flowers have they would have to be low to the ground to keep the strength to be able to hold up the flower head. If these were 2-3 ft tall the flowers would droop cause the stalks aren't thick or strong enough to keep them straight up with the size of the flower head.
Author: Great job! Love the colors and depth here. Really nice composition
Too bad about the stalks in front. They create a slight visual "barrier" to the eye, impeding the inviting path behind them. The blurry DOF compounds the stopping effect.
Very cool shot, the only thing I think might have been better is if you moved in a little bit more in to the corn field, as to avoid the foreground plants.
