friiskiwi: does it have to be homebaked? ( 5 years and 2977 days ago )
MossyB: Home made, as in not commercially produced or purchased. If you use a bread machine instead of an oven, it would still be home made... ( 5 years and 2976 days ago )
MnMCarta: well crap! I still can't cook! ( 5 years and 2976 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Yes, it has to be obvious that your bread was home made (ie. showing a "Super Pretzel" brand soft pretzel is off topic). ( 5 years and 2975 days ago )

These sound tasty. They look a bit underdone, but the rise of the dough is very nice. Now I need to try to find a recipe!
Are these "Pao de Queijo," made with tapioca instead of wheat flour?
author says:
These rolls are especially popular
in the center-west, southeastern and
southern regions of Brazil.
Ingredientes:
1 cup tapioca starch
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
6 tablespoons plain yogurt, nonfat or regular
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
author says:
Instruções:
Preheat oven to 450°F. Put tapioca starch in a metal bowl. Mix oil, water and salt in a pan. Bring to a boil. Pour the sputtering mixture onto the tapioca starch carefully to protect yourself from hot spatters. Mix together with a wooden spoon. Dough will be stiff. When cool enough to touch, add egg and mix well. Blend in yogurt. When well mixed, stir in cheese. Rub hands with oil and form batter into balls. Place on a greased baking sheet. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F. Bake 25_30 minutes, or until done. The rolls puff up during baking, but become flattened when cool.
Love the subject matter but I'd try recropping the image to make the basket more centered. Normally I'd advocate against that sort of thing but with so little negative space on the right side of the basket it just looks...off. Also, I'd try darkening the exposure a bit and bringing up your lights in order to really make the basket "pop" off of the background. Hope this helps! All the best!
very nice composition and DOF (bread looks yummy too)
Looks wonderful, wish I had a wife like that. Hope you did something nice for her.
Love the tones in this, nicely arranged - looks yum
very nice
Wow, love the composition and the grain adds extra "earthy flavour" on the overall image. Well done and all the best
