The sun is usually used as the light source, but how about it as the main object? I think it works fine regardless how big or small the sun is (5 years and 3023 days ago)
Nice idea, but I don't think it really works, took me a long time to find the plane.

@ friiskiwi, I don't understand how it took you a while to find. Every time I look at the picture (not thumbnail obviously) my eyes direct me straight at the plane (even though it is so small).
I have to admit this photo has to be viewed as a whole in order for the subject to stand out at all.
Since I could be biased to my own photo, my question to you is what part of the photo does your eyes point to when you glance at this photo as a whole full sized. If it is at the plane, I think it was a successful subject, if not then please tell what part of the photo your eye goes to first.
o.O Isn't on-deck photography kinda forbidden? It is from where I come from. I remember I couldn't get a nice clean cloud-shot without the hostess constantly requesting me to "Sir, kindly put down your camera".
If that's the case, kudos on being a stubborn photographer

@ nbaztec, I know there is a rule about not using cameras (electronics in general) during liftoff and landing, but I don't think there is anything against photography. I was on the plane with my camera for a good 14 hours and no one seemed to care.
