I think these would have a better visual impact if they were larger in the picture plane. There's a bit too much empty space around them. Fun subject, though. Love a few of the more unique colors.

Author, you do realise that the photographs don't have to be square, you could crop them all closer, in a portrait view. the 5 x 5 refers to the number of photographs, not the size.

I personally like the white space. It's an artistic statement. Giving some breathing room and differentiates itself from the pack. My only suggestion might be to lighten the white background of the center one a bit more, so that it matches the rest better. BUT even that makes it look a bit intriguing...nice work, author!
