Very nice exposure on all three
Nice shots, but on the two photos above the baby and the blanket seem to have been cuted out of an original picture. I say that because on the third one, appears some kind of shadow around the baby and the background. The background also seems more natural on the first than on the other ones. But Maybe I'm wrong
On the first shot, there was a muslin used...on the other 2 there was a shaded paper back drop used (hence the 'flatter' appearance). The "halo" you see is a form of drop shadow created by using a ring-light in the lighting set-up. Nothing was 'cut-out'...I use very little post processing in my studio shots, preferring to get different effects by different lighting.
Additionally, the BG in the top shot was lit separately from the subject and was not lighted and further away for the other 2 shots.
So it was not a "maybe" ... I was wrong ! Sorry Author !
No Harm, no offense taken Artifakts...Lighting is an art and can sometimes mimic things normally found in PS. I am very glad that some of the members here take the time to look so closely and offer opinions. This is what makes PXL such a great learning community...

Goal states "As an exception: a small plain colored border is allowed between the photos"
there is nothing about a border all around.
I wonder how much money Jack Daniels makes off of all the musicians who think their standard uniform requires that t-shirt?
How was the desaturation done?
Color channels and contrast. I'm from Scotland so this guy did not have much of a tan to fade. It's within the rules frili.
