Maybe it's time for some photojournalism. Your task in this contest is to take pictures of either man-caused or natural calamities, e.g. buildings, structures, or vehicles on fire or burned to the ground, ruined by earthquake, explosion or demolition, trees and/or vegetation uprooted and flattened out in the wake of severe storms or hurricanes, waterlogged boats or residences, in short anything that would look hit by some sort of disaster. Ruins of very old or ancient buildings such as chateaus, castles e.t.c. would be considered off topic.
I always find it so horrible to see a house on fire.. I always must think about the losses these people have.. memories, personal belongings, family pictures etc etc... such a tragedy always.
True words eladine i watched my home burn once and lost all. The feeling standing there is total helplessness
Good shot though Author and good luck to you
To ease everyone's mind. The owners were not home at the time. The arsonist waited til they were out of town and robbed them first then set it on fire.
This one I shot years ago with a cheap camera, I had bought from a supermarket of all places. She was a trawler carrying illegal aliens, and as soon as they had had it fastened alongside the dock, she'd began making water fast, most probably an act of scuttling. (5 years and 2892 days ago)
I have no problem giving you this kind of information, but I think I'm not allowed to do so as by the standing rules here, before the contest is over. Thank you for your comment.

In my city the Mayor has laid off half of the firefighters and police officers, since the layoff there has been 2 fires per week each on opposite sides of town at the same time. Coincidence...? (5 years and 2885 days ago)

Wow... very dramatic. I hope everyone got out ok... and arsonists should be allowed to set one, last fire - the building they are chained in.
Sad to see, but a great photograph
