thanks everyone for the nice comments... and yes Ichappell, it was a very cold day, lots of frost and fog everywhere...had to get with in 750 ft or so before I could see the tree clearly.

fyi ... they are now building a school on the grounds where this tree is...as per the sale of the land, the tree must stay. When the school opens, there will be a picture of this tree hanging in the halls, as I donated a 20x30 to the school of this picture and they graciously accepted

Extremely nice. I love the soft focus and exposure. I don't know if this has been cropped or not, but if you have more, you might leave just a little more sky on the top and left, and then even more space on the right. Don't get me wrong, though, this is a great shot! GL

Thank you, you three... the photo was not cropped, unfortanetly and if the opportunity would present itself again I would deffently leave more room all the way around. Artifakts, none taken, it is the goal of most photographs to get an emotional reaction, sorry that yours is sad..we can chalk it up to being a Monday LOL

Well if you have a question to the validity of this photo or any photos then use the redflag system. That BUSH is just that. A bush. Sorry you got yours removed but a lot have been and it just helps authors to be more intune with a shot as a whole.

A beautiful photograph author, how did you achieve that effect?

A car was parked where the light is coming from,so with f:2,some mist & 10 sec exposure you get this effect!

focus on the tree looks a bit off, and the birght light in the middle of the pic makes me wonder if it wasn't a night light project that the tree was apart of it. nice photo thanks for sharing
