Thanks albevolution. Cactuses are usually chosen for this sort of grafitti because they are easier to carve that say a tree and cactus live almost forever.

Looks like it might be a "Peruvian Apple," a type of Cerius cactus, but I've never seen one fruiting, so am not sure. Great find!
