Well, yes, this is what they call them. Typical, and maybe unique kind of flora where I live, i.e. Ierapetra, Crete Island. They blossom well into the winter on freshly plowed fields, following a few strong rainfalls. From afar, the fields look as if covered with yellow carpets. (5 years and 2895 days ago)

With a huge variety of plants and flowers to be found mainly in this part of the world, I can't vouch that this particular one stands out as its most typical, though I was told by some villagers that it is.
