Last time I checked... birds fall under the animal class.

This would include: horses, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, CHICKENS, etc. FYI dogs and cats are NOT barn yard animals.

I think the contest talks about Barn yard animals so IMO anything you have on the farm to work, eat or make money out of should qualify.
