These hardy ground plants blend into the landscaping until spring when every plant overnight sprouts this bright red bloom. How do all the individual plants know to do it that particular night. (5 years and 2903 days ago)

I do not have available a wide angle and more ,these days I'm shooting with a small compact because my canon is being repaired: ((
