Maybe you can burn the black background more in Photoshop (it's allowed), the wrinkles of the cloth annoy me personally. Also the composition might be more interesting if you crop the black areas left and and at the bottom out, something I would do.
Otherwise: I really like the light like it is coming out of the bowl (actually guess it is)

Good advice. And yes you are right..this is a glass liner sitting on a light source and another over head light to bring out highlights. The foil wrappers were a pain. I hope this is better. Thanks.
Doctor's have said no cigars, no caffine and no red meat. I know they're going to cut out my favorite sweet too so I hide my M&M's in my Nikon lens coffee cup. (5 years and 2876 days ago)
Can't go wrong with the color combinations of M&M's LOL
DOF is a bit to strong IMHO and the white cloth as underground isn't really attractive to me, maybe some metal structure like the inside of the can would have worked better.
But I do love the color reflections of the M&M's inside the can, on purpose or not: that's a nice detail

Changed out white drop cloth (not a good choice) and relaxed DOF. I tried to create more colored relfection without success. You advice however was right on. Thanks.
