Is this bulb working?
If it does you could use the bulbs light to create a fantastic gradient effect over the background ( it looks like a "metallic" wallpaper ).I can see some small nails holding together those 2 pieces.
You could frame the bulb in one of the sides ( the way it is now is "dead center" ) left or right,keeping the rule of thirds & the light from the bulb will create lots of shadows ( bringing out the texture of the wall ) & a gradient effect ( strong light close to the bulb that fades out traveling on the wall ).
When some one has an idea ( in cartoons mostly ) the bulb "lights on".
If the bulb was ON it would fit perfectly with the idea you are trying to impress....
Just some thoughts IMHO.

I believe the name of the Band is THE Doors. Being a huge fan of them, I'll be impressed if you can tell me where they came up with their band name? There's an awesome story behind it

It is about the doors of the mind! The acids would let them open and then there will no more borders in concepts! I guess a philosopher said it, but I can't remember the name.
