I have to agree...you have too much going on around her...it draws away from her. Personally I would have made it a portrait to cut out some of the access greenery (which is very beautiful, but not the subject).

thanks, well I could put the color one in the SBS, personally though, there were dried up brown spots in the grass that bothered me.

lol, yes the worst time of the day to take pictures is a noon when the sun is straight overhead. But that's the only time my friend had that day to shoot, so I had to work with that. Thanks for the comment.

Actually, for shooting B&W, I prefer harsh sun, it gives a bit more contrast...hence the authors choice for mono here..
