Nice idea... but it's a little hard to see the nails etc.
Well, if you try on HR, things get a little better, but yes, you're right
I think you may have desaturated it a little too much.
Yes, madam, this is exactly what I did, because it was too yellowish for my taste.
LOL, the theme did say to make it look less appealing and you succeeded, Perhaps crop it a little closer for all the people who can't be bothered looking at high res.

can I give a suggestion? The lighting is nice and the subject is too. How about putting the bowl on something a few feet away from the sheet, then zoom into the subject so that the background is blurred, and try getting the whole bowl in the shot but keep it at the corner like you have it. The wrinkles in this sheet really throw it off, but I think you can make this a great shot with just moving the items farther from the background.
