In this contest, you must photograph an object (any object will do) in a studio-type set up (no outdoor shots or animals) using at LEAST 3 different colored light sources. Your light sources may be anything you desire as long as they are all 3 different colors (for the purposes of this contest, standard "white" light will count as a color, but "Black" or the absence of light will not count as a color).
The light sources may NOT be shown.
In a studio type set up, the idea is to make the subject stand out, keep a clear back ground and use light/shadow and creative angles to bring focus and detail to your subject (In this case any object) NOTE: People are NOT objects nor are animals/insects!
Required level: 15+ or higher. Status: finished. Check out the winners below!

Contest Moderator: Judging by the specular highlights, is enough to Mod, but indeed...if the members could post an SBS, it could be very helpful to others who may wish to do these shots... ( 5 years and 2665 days ago )

Nicely done Author and VERY clever...I had to look twice to see the reflections, wonderful image...would love to see an SBS of the set-up
author says:
Unfortunately the set up had to be removed from my kitchen counter to cook dinner, so no photos. It was quite simple though, two pieces of black plexiglass standing up and set at 90 degrees to each other. The plexiglass gives the reflection. The light is from four light sticks, one behind, one left, one right and one above.
An SBS to see how the lighting lines can be made so abrupt would be much appreciated. Interesting technique and photo.
author says:
Sorry, have dismantled the set up, An SBS would not have been easy as the white light was hand held, had to move it further away so it wouldn't be too strong.
The red light was from behind, and the abrupt/ straight lines are due to the shape of the jug.
Hope that helps.
Nice work, author
